Supplies

Since this is very much a beginner level class, I don’t want you to spend a ton of money on fancy supplies. Literally any set of watercolours will do! The one thing I do really encourage you to purchase ahead of the class would be a round watercolour brush, as the shape of the brush is critical to some of the techniques that I will be teaching. My personal favourite brushes are actually synthetic (you can get natural hair brushes and they may hold more water but Idk, I just like synthetic better!) and I like the Dynasty brand. I couldn’t find them in stock on Amazon but here is a set that is comparable (on the Canadian Amazon website, I’m sure Americans have way more options!)

Ideally, this is what you will have on hand in order to participate in the workshop HOWEVER, please note that you will also have access to a replay, so if you would prefer to simply watch the demo and practice later, with the replay as reference, you don’t NEED to actually have any supplies on hand for the live workshop.

  • Set of watercolour paint

  • At least one round watercolour brush in a small to medium size, ideally 3 different sizes

  • A jar of water

  • Some paper towel

  • A few sheets of watercolour paper (I prefer cold press)

Here is my Canadian Amazon storefront if you need ideas of brands/product details etc!
